Job Description Roles & Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate with and support Shift Charge Engineer in the operation of the Power Plant and specifically to monitor the activities of the field. To assist the SCE & CRE in safe isolation and normalization of HV and LV systems. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Operate and service the power generation equipment to enable the safe and efficient supply of electric power to satisfy the requirement of EMAL site. * Operate and service the compressed air plant to enable the continuous generation of compressed air to satisfy power plant needs. * Operate and service the Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) to enable the uninterrupted supply of steam to satisfy operational requirements. * Manage the Permit to Work and equipment isolation for the power plant to ensure maintenance and service work can be carried out safely. * Carry out high voltage and low voltage switching from the switchgears on the field as instructed by SCE/CRE. * Ensure that all shift personnel strictly adhere to all safety policies, practices and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. * Ensure that all shift personnel are trained across the operations areas to carry out all duties in a safe and effective manner.
